I evaluate and treat adult ADHD by secure video anywhere in Oregon. The intake takes about an hour and follow-ups are 20 minutes, with stimulant and non-stimulant options when they fit. I’m in network with Regence, Moda, UnitedHealthcare, First Choice Health, and ComPsych, and new patients are usually seen within two weeks.
Diagnostic evaluations
As a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) based in Portland, Oregon, I provide diagnostic evaluations to help guide your mental health treatment. This process may include validated self-assessments, structured and unstructured psychiatric interviews, medical exams, lab work, and review of prior medical records. When appropriate, I can coordinate with your chosen loved ones and mental health support team to ensure a complete picture of your needs.
For diagnostic purposes, I may order or refer you for specialized testing such as sleep studies (polysomnography), electrocardiograms (EKG), or other diagnostic procedures. Together, we’ll set clear treatment goals and use measurable progress tracking, so your care is personalized and results-oriented.
My telehealth medication management services help adults in Portland, Oregon and across the state manage conditions such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and opioid use disorder through MOUD/MAT (medications for opioid use disorder / medication-assisted treatment). As a licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with DEA credentials, I have full prescriptive authority in Oregon and California.

Lab work and genetic testing
As part of my psychiatric services, I can order lab work when clinically indicated, including tests some psychiatric medications require. For patients in Portland, Oregon and across the state receiving telehealth care, I coordinate lab orders with local facilities for convenience and continuity of care.
When appropriate, I may also order genetic testing to help personalize your treatment plan, ensuring that medication choices are tailored to your individual biology and needs. This can be especially helpful for complex cases or when previous treatments have been less effective.
In addition to medication management, I connect clients to complementary mental health services that support long-term recovery. Care works best when everyone is on one plan. I coordinate with your therapist, your primary care provider, and, when helpful, family or other supports, so nothing falls between providers. Alongside medication evaluation and management, this can include brief psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and case management when your situation calls for it.
Care coordination
Is a PMHNP the same as a psychiatrist for ADHD?
A psychiatrist is a physician (MD or DO). A psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) is a nurse practitioner with graduate training in psychiatry. For adult ADHD the work is the same: a diagnostic evaluation, a decision about medication, prescriptions for stimulants or non-stimulants when they fit, and regular follow-up. In Oregon, PMHNPs practice independently. If your situation calls for a physician, I'll tell you and refer you.
How an adult ADHD evaluation works
The intake is a video visit of about an hour. I ask about childhood and current symptoms, work, school, relationships, sleep, mood, substance use, and medical history, and I use the DIVA-5 structured interview when the diagnosis isn't already established. I also look for conditions that can look like ADHD, such as depression, anxiety, sleep apnea, thyroid problems, or trauma. Bring records from your previous prescriber if you have them. If you're already on a regimen that works, I can often continue it after the intake.
What follow-up looks like
Follow-ups are 20 minutes by video. They're more frequent while we adjust a medication and usually every two to three months once things are stable. Between visits, message me through the patient portal.
Which insurance do you take?
In Oregon: Regence BlueCross BlueShield, Moda Health, UnitedHealthcare PPO, First Choice Health (including Adventist and Samaritan plans), and ComPsych.
